Over the last several months, we’ve done little but obsess over the Encore. How to make it faster, offer more coverage, make the changes we’ve heard are needed from technicians. And at Automechanika Chicago, we released Bravo 2.0 for every Encore owner.
The new software has hit every benchmark we’ve set, and then some. Our team continues to pore over every 1 and 0 in the tool, and while that’s happening; I want to share some of the major updates.
-Faster, smoother operation: Encore remains one of the fastest code-to-fix tools on the market, but we saw room for improvement. Technicians wanted faster transitions between screens and modules, and this newest update provides that.
-Expanded European coverage: A major benefit of our parent company Bosch is the inclusion of their global vehicle coverage. By incorporating Bosch global data our European coverage and communication immediately improved, most notably on Mercedes-Benz, Mini and BMW special tests.
-Usability and performance: From organizing diagnostics screens to selectable buttons, the user interface has been improved to what you, the technician, asked for. DTCs remain selectable and are now more apparent. The Identifix Direct-Hit slide-out defaults as out, showing you possible fixes faster.
-Code-to-fix and AutoDetect: Superior repair information derived from more than 30 million experience-based fixes.
-Onboard resources: Information you need every day is included, for example; extensive battery disconnect, key fob reprogramming and maintenance light reset procedures.
Diagnostics is a labor of love for us, and our team has accomplished much in our efforts to continuously improve the Encore. We know we offer you the assets needed to help fix most vehicles, and your feedback helps us improve the way you find those assets on the tool.
We also know that vehicle coverage is a war. A constant battle to make sure that you have the coverage needed when a vehicle rolls into your shop. Every year, new cars come out. And every year, Encore will push out numerous updates with new coverage. We just ask that you keep telling us what you like, and what you’d like to see improved, about Encore.
So fire up the tool, download Bravo 2.0 and let us know what you think.
